Cannot access certain websites
Hi,
When I try to access some websites I got ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. Here is the output from my trace
Does this means my IP is blocked by the website? Please help me solve this problem.
Thanks

If you are asking how to change your public IP, when you have a rental Comcast gateway the only things you can do are either 1. put the device in bridge mode, or 2. swap out the device for another.
If you were using your own modem and router you would probably have a "clone MAC" feature available that would allow you to get a different public IP.

I can reach the site. When one customer cannot reach a site but others can, it usually means the site is blocking that customer's public Comcast IP. You can look up your IP at https://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+my+IP. You'll probably need to ask the site's admins for help with this.
Are you sure you let the trace run long enough? Lots of hops to a site hosted in China! My trace looks like:

Hi,
I've already turned off advanced security. And I've tested multi devices, cannot access if I use xfinity network. But I can access if I use hotspot.
I used to access those websites, just couldn't since several days ago.
If my public ip has been blocked, how can I renew the IP?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. My problem is I can't access to many Chinese websites now, not just one website.

The OP's 10th hop at 202.97.85.154 is beyond Comcast's network, so it's unlikely that they are responsible for the block.

Are you using Xfinity xFi gear? You didn't say, but their 'advanced security' is a net nanny that blocks locations. You can turn it off for a test.
