Can I get a 2nd IP for my residential network?

I called Xfinity CS and they couldn't seem to conceptually understand my request and just told me my equipment is faulty. Just want to know if I can get a 2nd IP address for my residence so I can have utilize both ports on my modem and create a second network.

Thank you!

They are phasing it out but I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. We've seen cases here where they have been able to get this accomplished for customers even when it is not listed in their rate cards, YMMV. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !

@XfinityMikeB Telling a new customer to the forums how to DM is a good thing!

To send a direct message [private message]:
  •    Click "Sign In" if necessary
  •    Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
  •    Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  •    The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  •    - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  •    - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  •    Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  •    Press Enter to send it
