blink sync module 2 won’t connect

I have an XB7 gateway & a Blink Sync Module 2 that won’t connect to each other. They WERE working before Xfinity made a mistake & canceled our account! They reinstated it, but I haven’t been able to get the sync module 2 & gateway connected since then.

I used the admin tool to split the bands into 2.4 and 5 and even with a separate 2.4 SSID, it will go through the process, ask to join it, then I get the red light on the module & a message that it won’t connect.  However, under the list of connected devices it shows the sync module!

This is beyond frustrating!

I do NOT know why but this morning I went back & shut down the router then reset the sync module. Got ‘downloading firmware’ for the first time and  I’m connected!! 

So cameras are working.

Thousands of customers view our forums daily and many times other customers like yourself provide great resolutions. I'd like to ask you a question on behalf of any customers that may run into an issue like this in the future.

Had you tried resetting the router and sync module multiple times? Or was this troubleshooting a one-shot fix? Any insight on this would be helpful.
