being charged after cancelling

Hi,

So I cancelled my xfinity service on 4/29/2025, and I have the confirmation email to prove it. I also returned all my equipment to my local store. However, why am I being billed for the 5/5/25-6/9/25, when I don't even have that service anymore? I already have autopay turned off in late april, but I would still like to get rid of this charge as I do not owe xfinity this money at all.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_frustratedcat Sometimes our billing system sends out a bill after your account is closed, this is due to our billing being in advance, but you will also get a final bill sent out to you via the US Mail showing everything has been closed. That said we are happy to take a look at your account and make sure your account was processed correctly. Please send us your full name and address to us via our direct message.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.

For an example of how to send us a Direct Message, check out this link.
