If you received an Xfinity xFi Gateway XB10 model, then that is a supported model for your current Xfinity network set up. The modem is only sent to eligible customers within a FDX/DOCSIS 4.0 area or planned upcoming areas. When available, just plug in and activate the device to start enjoying your Xfinity Internet service.

You can use it no matter if your area has yet been upgraded for full duplex or not. It's backwards compatible.
