Asus ZenWiFi XT9

I'm running my Xfinity modem (model TG3482G) in bridge mode with an Asus ZenWiFi XT9. Sporadically, I appear to lose internet access. From the ZenWiFi admin console it says it's still connected to the Xfinity modem and the modem still reports a WAN IP, DNS, Gateway, and Lease time/expiration. However, no traffic is flowing inbound or outbound. In addition, when this occurs, I cannot ping 10.0.0.1 (IP for the Xfinity modem). The Asus DHCP is set to 192.168.50.2 - 192.168.50.254, Default Gateway is blank. Devices connected wirelessly are able to ping one another, using the 192 IP Address range. I am not running any VPNs. Speed Test from the Asus admin console does not work. Again, the outages happen sporadically. Restarting the Xfinity modem restores things to working order. It seems like for some reason traffic doesn't route from the Asus router to the Xfinity modem. I had a similar issue with a Google Mesh and that's why I switched to the Asus. But the problem persists.
