Arris S33 having Packet loss issues

I like to game a lot, and I noticed I been having about 2% to 6% packet loss lately. Which at first I thought was my router, but then I decided to connect directly to my modem, and I was still having the same packet loss. So with that in mind, how do I go about troubleshooting the modem to find what's wrong?

Hello all, and I appreciate the prompt responses to help. It turns out my cables outside of my house were chewed up by animals. So we had a tech come repair the damage and everything is A okay now. Thanks again guys.
