Apps on my phone doesn't work on home wi-fi
I have Xfinity internet at home and there are apps on my phone that will not work on wifi and I have to shut it off and use cellular to load. But all works great if I'm turning on Xfinity hot spot and connect to it. My apps won't load unless I shut off wifi or start to use hot spot above my wifi. This is getting very frustrating. I've checked everything Rebooted the router and restarted the phone. My phone works great, I returned old and get brand new one Xfinity device, but problem still the same. Help me please with this issue.

Hey there, @Alex_Shv3 thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding the issues with the apps on your phone. We would be happy to help you with troubleshooting. Are you only having issues with the apps on your phone or with other devices as well? Is your phone up to date with the latest update? Also, what type of phone are you using, is it an iPhone?

My wife and I use Google Pixel phones. The phones are fully updated and run on the latest version of Android. The phones work flawlessly over the mobile network, through the Xfinity hotspot, through any wifi access points that are familiar to me, except for my new home wifi from Xfinity. Everything works even if I turn on the hotspot on my device. My apps (except chrome browser and YouTube) stop working when I connect to my home wifi network. I replaced the router at the store with a new one, but this did not solve the problem. Resetting settings and resetting phones did not help.

@Alex_Shv3 Thanks for those details as that is definitely helpful for troubleshooting. Have you gone into the Wi-Fi settings in the Xfinity app to see if the devices are paused? Here is a link with more details https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/personalize-customize-hnetwork-xfi. Have you tried toggling the pause device setting on your cellphone to see if that helps? Also, just to confirm, other devices are working when connected to your Wi-Fi just not your cellphones?

On my network, the only devices that are paused are those that I don’t have, such as LG smart TV and so on (and I don’t have a TV at all!) and I can’t remove such devices from the network, because they need to be disconnected from it first! But I don’t have them! But the question is not about ghost devices. Our phones are online and they are detected correctly. The phone browser displays websites correctly. The computer on the network works correctly (browser), I do not have any special applications that require an Internet connection installed on my computer.
