Amazon devices won’t connect to Xfinity router

I have a new Xfinity router and it will not allow any of my amazon devices to connect (I have 17).  Has anyone overcome this issue?  I’ve tried everything.

@user_fa6dcf. That is definitely a weird issue! Are you saying you had a gateway that previously worked? What message do you get when connecting?

@XfinityEthan Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying.. I think it has something to do with 2.4 versus 5 Mbps.  The new router and the new software for older routers is upgraded so they you can’t select between the two. Because Amazon products only connect to 2.4, I can’t get them to connect.

Thanks for the additional details. I would suggest separating the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 Ghz networks and see if that helps. You can do that by clicking on the Edit Wi-Fi options when viewing your internet on the Xfi app or Xfinity app. -JessicaA

Thank you for the reply. The new software for the router doesn’t allow you to separate between 2.4 and 5.0. I found out that I can no longer connect many different things including printers my doorbell my sprinklers after the new Xfinity update. Is there some setting in there that I can change. Please help.  My computers all connect just fine, my TVs are also OK. Nothing with a low bandwidth seems to connect. All worked fine until the software was updated

Are you able to get into the Xfinity router admin page? You should be able to get in by typing in 10.0.0.1. Let me know if that helps anything.

I no longer work for Comcast.
