Access denied on Motorola cable modem router
I have 2 cable modem routers, 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs, due too my home is built hurricane proof and the WiFi single doesn’t reach(even with pods). I have a new xfinity router that works fine upstairs. In the downstairs for a couple years I’ve had a Motorola cable router and last week the internet connection stopped working. When I Iogin to the router I see “Access Denied” on one of the status settings. And my Motorola doesn’t exist on the My Devices page of the xfinity app. Was the connection terminated by Xfinity?

Hi there, @user_o840z8! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum! This sounds like an uncommon setup, so I want to be sure I understand. Do you pay for 2 internet services? One for each modem?

I am glad that worked good for a lot of years, @user_o840z8. Multiple modems are typically billed for a 2nd line of internet service unless specifically used for a home phone service. A separate router, a mesh system, or WiFi extenders can be used to extend the service. Did you recently add any WiFi Boost Pods to the account or you just changed the modem? I ask because Pods can only work with 1 modem.
