5G?
Earlier this morning I got a call from Adams, NY. The woman said she was from XFinity. She wanted me to be in front of my computer and she'd help me turn my XFinity router from 4G to 5G. I was at a doctor's office then. I told her to call me back at 11:30. She never did. Has anybody else gotten such a call? I think she was a fake and just trying to scam me.

Scam ! 4G and 5G are cellular phone service terms, not Comcast internet service / WiFi.

You would have been scammed if you did what they asked. Never ever give anyone over the phone permission to check your computer. There may be a need sometimes with a printer problem or computer problem. You would have to be on their site and give them permission to check and fix your printer or computer.
