Yes I am testing hardwired. Upload has averaged about 500.

Update on this: this is still an issue and I still suspect a profile issue. What has become clear is that when your support staff resets/reboots the gateway, it works as expected for some time before falling back to 50% upload speed. I also used to be able to do this via the Xfinity Assistant i.e. it would detect that something was wrong, restart the gateway and all was good for a few weeks. Now when a support person does a restart, speeds are symmetric for a couple of weeks at most. 

I know we have discussed sending someone to my home but what can they realistically do to ensure I get and maintain the right profile? They have come here and swapped the modem and that didn't do anything. 

Hello, @sylvaing thank you for taking time to follow, and sorry to hear you're still experiencing issues with the speed dropping. I appreciate the update that it seems to temporarily fix the concern with the remote signal resets, but with you mentioning it returning shortly afterwards. Working from home myself, if I was in your shoes I'd be following back up as well to see the next steps that need to be taken. 

This could be related to the premise itself, or the area equipment. Scheduling a technician is helpful as they can test from the "tap" connection point where the area equipment hands off to your location. During the testing they can check for any anomalies or impairments. The technician experts also partner with our great network maintenance team, so if anything detected on the area equipment they would submit a referral to the maintenance team to come out and sweep the area equipment and fix the impairment. 

Please let me know if that was an option you wanted to move forward with. 

@0x90​ Nope, not fixed though I have definitely seen 1200/1200 so your issue feels more like a strict profile issue than mine.

I'm less sure it's merely a profile issue on my end and wonder if it's also further upstream. The pattern being:
1. Once upon a time, the Xfinity Assistant chatbot would detect "an issue" when this occurred and do a remote reboot that fixed it.
2. At some point, the bot no longer detected and issue but a remote reboot initiated by support fixed it.
3. Every time maintenance/construction or a power outage reboots the local node, it's happy for a while. 

Of course, every time I schedule someone there is a node reboot shortly before and everything is fine. 

And then my plan just jumped from $86.59 to $101.59 because they think paying $10 more than Quantum Fiber is "promotional". 

That's frustrating. I wish Xfinity had a team dedicated to this tier because a number of support folks I have spoke with do not seem to know Xfinity offers symmetric verse asymmetric class of Internet. For example, if support could specifically tell me if the boot and download versions of my modem XB10 are indeed correct for my area/service.
