16 connected devices per Wi-Fi band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
I am requesting technical assistance with my customer-owned ARRIS SVG2482AC gateway. Since last week, the device has been limited to a maximum of 16 connected devices per Wi-Fi band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). This limitation was not present previously and appears to have occurred following an RDK-B firmware update.
I have already performed a factory reset, but the 16-client limitation remains on both bands. Because the limitation persisted after the reset, I believe the issue may be related to the device profile or configuration being retained on Comcast's backend rather than a local router setting. this started last week. 3 years with same mod and same service and now I'm limited.
I am specifically requesting that Comcast force a bootfile re-provisioning/re-download to the modem/gateway and clear or refresh the device profile/configuration cache associated with my equipment. I need the gateway returned to the configuration and client capacity it had prior to this change.
please help.
