Xfinity Stream not compatible with Chrome Browser

It seems Xfinity Stream portal no longer functions in the Google Chrome browser.  It still works with Microsoft Edge.  Why is this happening and why has it not been addressed?

I'm experiencing the same issue! On my cell and In-home! When streaming in-home, it tells me "Connect to in-home WiFi to watch" but I AM CONNECTED to my in-home WIFI!! Other channels say, "We've got a location issue. Unfortunately, we can’t play this video within this market. (Error TVAPP-00224)" Until this week, I have always been able to stream these channels on my PC without issue. What the heck!

Hello @rfowler416! I hate to hear that you're having trouble accessing Xfinity Stream on Chrome. Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies and is it happening on other devices as well?

@XfinityJennifer​, The issue is on all my devices(iphone, ipad, and PC) as well as Chrome and Edge. Clearing cache and cookies has not helped.

per my marathon chat session with support today (over 7 hours and 3 different specialists):

"There is a known issue with the Vizio tv and the built-in Chromecast since about Mid-December. The engineering team is still working on this and does not have a solution at this time for the Vizio TV's with Chromecast built in.  While I do not have a timeline there is movement on the ticket that they are working to get this resolved. The last update on the ticket was January 17th. We appreciate your patience while we work to get it resolved."

This is very much in line with my experience as it was about mid-december I started having issues.  I cannot stream via Chromecast from our 2 iPhones or web browser off my laptop to either one of my Vizio TV's.
