Xfinity Stream no longer working on Apple TV

It worked yesterday but not today. I have two and on both of them the app crashes. Upon attempting to start the app, it will flash the purple X and then crash.

I have tried the following:

  • Kill app
  • Reboot
  • Delete and reinstall app
  • Reset device to factory settings and reinstall app
  • Wireless connection
  • Wired connection

Note that upon reinstalling the app, I am able to get through the authentication screen but then the app crashes.

Please help.

Mine just stopped working today. Have been using it at least 6 months.

Same here. Xfinity Stream worked fine for months. Stopped working yesterday no explanation. Followed all the steps to uninstall. Reboot. Now have to airplay to the TV from my Xfinity Stream app on my phone which is ridiculous considering the Xfinity Stream app worked fine on my AppleTV for months and just stopped working for no reason.  No other apps are having an issue. Seeing how difficult it is to get support after scrolling and chatting for hours I’ll probably just cancel and use another service that works consistently.

This [Edited: Language], it was made available on Roku, why not on Apple.  I want to use only one remote.
