Xfinity stream live TV

No access to live TV on Xfinity stream anymore. We used to be able to watch live TV, all of our local channels. Now it says not included in our plan Error TVAPP 00500. I have chatted with 2 different live agents. The first said they would reset or refresh app and we should be good on 60 minutes. Didn't work. Second one said it must be a Roku problem. I'm seeing online that other people have the same problem. It was working fine until we got a Xumo box, then there were no local channels. I returned the box for this and other reasons. Now we can't get any live TV. Please figure out why. I am paying for local channels. Thank you

Someone else in another thread said if you have a Roku, you can download the Xfinity Stream app to your Roku as a workaround to watch live TV. I've been having the problem since yesterday and did that - now I can watch live TV.

We have Roku Streaming Stick 4K.

I uninstalled the Xfinity Streaming app waited several days then reinstalled. We are still not able to get live TV. Our plan is limited basic, which includes 10+ channels. We can't get any. There has to be some solution to this.

@user_c4a1c6, thanks for getting back to us and letting us know. I'd like to try a couple of things on  this end to get it fixed. When you get a chance can you send us a direct message? 

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct messaging" icon near the top right of the page

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
