Xfinity stream away from home

Xfinity Stream away from home is showing that ABC CBS and FOX are not available away from home network.  Seems like this is a service change or a problem with the app.  I am using the app on iPhone and iPad.

user_o5zy6x Thank you for reaching out! Our engineering team is aware of this issue when attempting to stream TVGo channels for local affiliates. They are investigating, and hope to have a resolution soon. Thank you for your patience!

I've looked at the list of channels I'm supposed to be able to stream 'away from home' (while not on my 'at-home comcast wifi').

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/tv-go-live-streaming-networks

The list includes ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, HGTV, and more.  I'm able to get most of these when I'm on cellular data.  But my friend is getting the message 'Connect to in-home WiFi to watch', and tapping 'why?' tells him: 'due to licensing agreements some content can only be viewed on your in-home WiFi'.  I'm helping him troubleshoot this.  Does he need to grant the 'xfinity stream' app location permission? Are there other requirements?

Also, when I select some channels on my (generally working) phone, away from home, I see 'available to watch on demand' (EG, ABC). This is in ADDITION to 'watch'.

But other channels (eg, CBS), I just see 'watch' (I see no reference to 'available to watch on demand')

And on other channels (eg, NBC Sports Bay Area channel 720), 'Watch' is grayed out, and 'connect to in-home wifi to watch' is displayed.  But earlier, when a game was being shown, 'watch' was grayed out but 'restart' was displayed, and I was able to watch the game from the start.

I need to better understand what can prevent this from working.

@Steerpike58 We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums on behalf of your friend. It looks like this is a concern that our engineers have been working to resolve that has affected some of our customers. You would want to have your friend reach out to us for advanced troubleshooting since we would need to access their account and get some of their personal information.

Also, just to clarify, with your own issue with the NBC Sports Bay Area channel 720, were you also recording that game? If so, that might be why you weren't able to watch it, but restarting it allows you to view it.
