Xfinity Stream app not working for anyone?

I've had problems streaming Live TV or downloading recordings since the evening of 9/5/23.

The errors are TVAPP-251 when trying to stream Live TV (ESPN HD) or download - "Could not create download :: 57006."

Contacted support, said the problem was fixed by them sending signals.

Problem was not fixed.

Went back to chat agent and they claim it's down, not working for anyone.

So the first agent said they fixed my account, the second agent is now saying it's a systemic problem.

Would expect a lot more complaints here if the thing has been down for over 24 hours.

My xfinity steam not doing nothing but showing the 3dots Iv done Everything and it’s still not working I went so far as to updating my whole phone n still nothing

I apologize to hear of the issues you are having when it comes to the Xfinity Stream app. I have just tested the app on my Roku device, and it looks to be streaming just fine. Since it has been some time, are you still having issues or has it cleared up for you?

Not working on Android device or Roku. I have tried all of the fixes (power cycle, remove channel, send signal, try again). Nothing. Worked fine yesterday, what gives? I am not interested in a game of Tech Support hot potato. Not going to call.

Stopped working in the middle of football game on my tv. Restarted. Deleted. Signed out..tried everything. Now I can’t sign back into it on my tv or my iPhone.

Xfinity stream is NOT WORKING on any of my devices 9/10/23 @2:30pm!!!

What's the problem? Is it being worked on or do we know anything Xfinity support???

For the price I pay every month this is ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY and Xfinity support is not telling us anything.

So what's the deal XFINITY???

Same situation. Chatbot doesnt even have “streaming” as a category or option. Dead in the water on my LG tv and also on my iPhone. Called customer service: “hold times are currently 96 minutes.”  What’s up, Comcast?

None of my Samsung TVs work, can’t stream  on Apple devices.  Loads but then is fuzzy and stalls.  I’ve done everything from looking for updates, logout/in, and tried on different platforms. This is an Xfinity issue!!! Get it fixed or refund my cable bill

Hello, @user_be24c4! Thanks for reaching out to us. I have retested this on a Roku device as well as an LG TV and seems to be streaming without an issue. Right now there is a known issue we are working on for the Apple TV and staying logged in but should be able to stream at this time. If you are still having issues we will need to look into this further. Feel free to send us a DM by clicking the Direct Message icon at the top right of the page, clicking on the pen and pad icon and entering Xfinity Support in the "To" section of the chat, and provide us with your first/last name and full address so we may further assist you.

Please be assured you reached the right person to assist you. Can you please DM me your first and last name along with your full service address so that I can assist you further?

Something is terribly wrong with Xfinity streaming service. Error messages are coming from the service apologizing for the delay, that there is a problem on their end, and please wait while they retry.  When is this going to get a permanent fix?

After many customer support specialists and multiple failed fixes, one person said they have had problems for two weeks and they are working diligently. My Xfinity Stream app loads and then it says, “Video Cannot Be Played”. Why isn’t there more information available from Xfinity?

Xfinity is garbage.  Paying $400 month and cable service, internet and apps are all in and out on almost a daily basis.  I've had techs out looking at it, nothing can be done.  It's a systematic issue.  The service shouldn't be even half of what it is.  I'll be cutting the cord asap!

Yep.  Utterly annoyed.  This is a recurring issue with the app.  Xfinity support can't seem to get the tech team to act.

My Xfinity Stream app stopped loading about a week ago. I have done the troubleshooting and so has my husband. The dots just stare at me. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, reset the router and nothing. When will this be rectified?

Log out of Roku or whatever you have.  Log out of xfinity.  When it asks you to sign in for xfinity on your screen, use your web browser to put in the code it gives you.  CLEAR YOUR WEB BROWSER, whatever web browser you use. 

I tried and tried to sign in, and there would be a message, "try again later," and it would never let me.  I cleared my web browser cache (mine is firefox) and I could finally log in.  Everything up and running again.

All iget are the 3 dots on my PC, I am hardwired in (ethernet) Former concast employee. Did all the "canned" troubleshooting.

Don’t know what to do. They told me they were updating and would be up and running in an hour. 7 hrs. Later nothing.  Stop lying, and sending work to foreign countries
