Unable to stream

Suddenly my xfinity.com/stream is no longer working. Nothing happens when I click on any channel. I have tried both my usual Chrom browser as well as Safari on my Mac.

Same here, N.J.  Started Friday, 07/11 and STILL won't let me in. Did ALL the usual [Edited: Language] to no avail.  Seeing the other posts here makes it obvious it's on Xfinity's end.  No problems on any other device. By the way, when the site DOES load I'm experiencing the same thing as the above post: Schedule loads and can select channel, but clicking on Watch does nothing. Plus I'll add that the dropdown menus are all screwed up, no background under the text, not all the letters are there. Please get this fixed ASAP. I pay you way too much money (for 25 years now) for this kind of service.

Totally agree - I still cannot stream at all. Something changed at Xfinity on Tuesday for sure.

In addition to the web streaming issue, I've been noticing a decline in overall internet performance on the Comcast/Xfinity service.  Also, I've been getting bombarded by ad's recommending that I update my equipment (to a rental modem/router from them).  Today, I installed a new modem that I purchased independently from Xfinity and my web streaming is back to normal.  So, I don't know if Xfinity corrected their internal problem or if it was a compatibility issue with my old modem.  In any case, I'm back in business.

I take it back, new modem did NOT resolve the webstream issue.  I'm still dead in the water!

Ahh, sorry to hear that...but it stopped me from getting a new modem/router. Thanks!!!

Here are some additional facts that I've observed, on my MacBook Pro 2020 M1

I can get through the purple logging in screen and get to the channel guide.

My preferred Firefox browser won't play any channels.  The "Watch" and "Episodes" buttons appear active, but clicking on "Watch" doesn't do anything on any channel.

The Apple Safari browser will play pretty much ALL TVGO channels and will play many regular channels.  For channels that Safari won't play, there is text above the "Watch" and "Episodes" buttons that says: "Connect to in-home WiFi to watch" and it includes a link that goes to a dialog: "Due to licensing agreements, some content can only be viewed on your home WiFi."

So, it seems to think I'm attempting to access certain channels on certain browsers from a network other than my home WiFi network.  But... everything I'm doing is on my home Wifi network.

user_fc11c0 thank you for sharing your experience, by chance do you happen to have an active VPN which is browser specific for the Firefox browser?

I spoke with the 'advanced' tech support team. It is a known problem. They are working on it supposedly.

I just sent this direct message to Xfinity Support asking for an update: "Hello, Can you please post an update for all of us having the xfinity streaming issue for the past few days. I have not seen any update from xfinity yet on what the issue is or when it will be fixed. Thanks for your help." I'll let you all know if I hear anything.

I am having the same issue.  The xfinity.com/stream simply stopped working.  I used it without issue on the Microsoft Edge browser.  I am not able to get it working on any other browser.

After 2 hours I was told by the “advanced” team that it is a known issue. After time I was able to get a credit to my account. It was a very exact and odd number so I guess they know the exact amount of time it’s been down

I was able to get streaming again by openig an "InPrivate" Window in Edge and it works like a charm. Try that and let me know if it helped.

Thanks for the suggestion. Using a private window in Firefox or Chrome or Safari did not help - I don't use Edge - but may try it if a fix doesnt come soon.

@user_fbf55d Same here...I don't use Edge, and Chrome and Safari do not work even after clearing cache and trying an Incognito Window.

Tried streaming on my MacBook today, cannot get past the "Xfinity stream" loading page on Safari.  No error messages, no codes, just never loads.

Found a solution in another post on the same issue that worked on my computer, using Chrome.  I opened it in an Incognito Window and it works there.  Worth a shot...

I usually use Safari Private Window & noticed the Xfinity window was not open in it.

Closed & opened a Safari Private Window. Opened Xfinity and it seems to be working again.

Wonder what the setting is that fixes it in a standard Safari window.

Thanks for sharing the solution!
