Unable to stream

Suddenly my xfinity.com/stream is no longer working. Nothing happens when I click on any channel. I have tried both my usual Chrom browser as well as Safari on my Mac.

I am able to stream on the tv and smartphone, however, I cannot watch live tv or recorded tv on my laptop.  I tried yesterday and noticed the issue and it continues today.  Nothing happens when I click on "watch."  I hope someone can help us.

Hello, @skeptical4ever thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. There is a known issue with the Xfinity Stream Portal (www.xfinity.com/stream), and our engineer team is working to get this resolved as quickly as possible. There is an open ticket, currently there is no ETA for the resolution. The work around provided by the engineer team is to utilize the Xfinity Stream App on a mobile device or tablet. I'll monitor the ticket for updates, and make sure to keep in touch throughout the remaining process. If you need anything in the meantime, please let me know.

@XfinityRichard I still cannot stream on my Mac. Yesterday I could see the channels but when I clicked on "WATCH" nothing would happen. Today, I cannot get past the purple sign-in screen so cannot even see my channels.

I am having the same problem, in NJ market.  Nothing happens when I press "Play" in the Streaming, or Live TV.  Only having the problem on my computer.  Ipad, phone and TV works fine.  Registered issue on the phone customer support, but no answer.  Hopefully Xfinity fixes this soon.  Problem since Friday, 7.11. morning.

@XfinityAlyssaA I cant' stream on my Macbook on Safari and Firefox- the two browsers I use. It doesn't work in incognito mode either. This is obviously impacting a ton of users and has been for over a month. Why hasn't it been fixed?

yes. iPhone 16 pro max works.

MacBook Air OS15.5 issue with screen resizing to allow selection of Main Menu: Home - Saved - Live TV - Browse

Also, when I select a show on Home via selecting icon it times out with an unable to connect or having a problem.

Is it an Apple update that caused the problem? It's been like this for a few weeks now.

Same with me. Started with unable to to click on the watch tabs. Now unable to even open the streaming site.

Stopped at an Xfinity store this morning. They were unaware of any problems or was able to provide any solutions.

user_6gnjxi, I appreciate you taking a moment to let us know you're seeing the same troubles. I completed an account refresh for your profile to help clear things up. I see, based on other comments, that we have tickets open for similar issues, so it's likely we are working to get this fixed. That said, every situation is different, so I wanted to try some steps on my end. Let me know if you see any changes. Does this happen only when using a web browser, or when using the Xfinity Stream App on various devices as well?

user_9jrilj, I appreciate you letting us know. I see you, like others in the thread, are seeing the same issues. On your end, is this only occurring when you stream directly on the website, or do you see the same on the Stream App too?

Just got off the phone with xfinity. They said they are going to contact their advanced technical team to address the issue. They also said the problem is definitely on their end, not on ours for what it's worth.

Still down for me too, into the 3rd day now. I am paying for a service that doesn't work, and they didn't even know it wasn't working and don't even acknowledge they are working on it. I even submitted a SUPPORT TICKET, but it shows I have NONE listed in my account. Time to switch providers to get what I am paying for.

I am also unable to stream since yesterday on my Macbook. Tried Safari and Firefox. [Edited: Language]? Xfinity needs to get their act together. Also I can't seem to access their web page to get credit for the outage. It's not loading properly. How can I get outage credit?

I've had the same problem for 2 days now (Minneapolis market). My computer serves as my TV and it's very frustrating to have lost access to my subscription on this platform. Hoping that more register their complaints and that someone from Xfinity sees the uptick and variety of these comments.

user_0nakr1 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums! I can definitely understand how frustrating it would be if you aren't able to watch your favorite shows! I know I use the Stream app myself and occasionally the Xfinity Stream website. It's important to me that you be able to enjoy your programming. Can you tell me how you are accessing the Stream app and what types of errors you are getting?

@user_otm8 Thanks for letting us know. Nothing has been officially reported as a known issue, but this post might help to get more eyes on the situation. Have you already tried the normal troubleshooting steps such as try clearing your browser cache, restart your device and test again?

@XfinityPeterH I'm not the OP but yes of course those things have been done. I've tried on several browsers as well. If a lot of people have reported it it seems like it is an Xfinity issue.

@XfinityPeterH Hello and thanks for helping - yes, I have cleared my cache, as well as powered on/off. Also, I tried it here on 2 Macs without success - but when I tried on a PC I found that it is working fine. So, this could be an Apple related issue. Let us know if you discover anything. Thanks

I have the same issue here. It started right after a reboot for the July patches which came out on Tuesday. I tried uninstalling the patches that Windows allowed me to but it did not help. I hope they can figure out why soon.

Also for those that still cannot stream there is a workaround.... Open inPrivate browsing in edge and launch the portal that way. Works for me.

I've had the same problem with Xfinity Stream Portal not working on my Mini Gaming PC. It became an issue after the most recent Windows update (July 9). I've tried clearing cache, flushdns, logging out of Xfinity & back in, updating the update, restarting the modem & the PC among other things.

Oddly, my updated desktop does not appear to have the same problem.

Thanks for sharing that the Xfinity Stream Portal is also not working for you, user_d6jxt4. This page shows the Minimum System Recommendations for the Xfinity Stream Portal. Are you running Windows 10, Windows 11 or OS X 11 or later on the Mini Gaming PC?

Like others here, I had no problems streaming BEFORE July 10th. (I updated on the 9th at bedtime.)
Since you requested, here's proof my system is adequate.
Required:
Windows 11 = Yes
Processor = AMD Ryzen 7 5700U > min.:  AMD Athlon 3400
RAM = 16GB > min. 128 MB
Video Card = 496 MB > 64 MB memory

Again, I feel certain that there's a compatibility problem with your site & the windows update because it's literally the only change made between July 9 (when it worked) & July 10 (when it failed).

Same problem too, also in Houston.  Cannot stream on PC.  Just Xfinity stream logo  and 3 dots.

Am an IT Tech and check all the normal items... cache, browser, networking. etc.

Works fine on mobile phone.

I am having the same problem on my Mac using Safari.  Xfinity streaming webpage either won't load at all or won't load completely enough so that I can search on a show or movie and then click to watch.  Totally infuriating at this price.
