**Update 12/12/2019**

With the recent release of Chrome 79 we have verified that we can no longer replicate this issue. In the coming week, all impacted users should start to see this resolved. In order to facilitate this fix, we recommend waiting until your Chrome version updates or manually performing the update yourself. For additional information on how to update your Chrome version, see here: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95414?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

Thank you again for your continued patience as we worked to resolve this.

All,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing when attempting to use Xfinity Stream. We are currently investigating a possible bug in Chrome 78 that may be causing this. In the meantime, we recommend trying one of the following workarounds by either:

1. Disable hardware acceleration in Chrome. Settings > Advanced > Use hardware acceleration when available > OFF > restart Chrome.

2. Play the TV GO version of the On Demand item. From the More menu button (… icon), choose Watch Options > choose the TV GO option (usually at the bottom of the list).

Thank you in advance for your patience as we continue to work to resolve this permanently.

Additionally, we recommend that you check to ensure your devices and web browser meets our minimum system requirements needed to use the Xfinity Stream website, found here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-tv-website-requirements

Please note, not all web browsers/devices support the Xfinity Stream website.

scrambled video was analog signals not for digital like your computer uses. try rebooting your computer and completing all updates. is it windows 10 and using the chrome or edge browser?

I had the exact same issue.  I watch the same show, every night through the Xfinity Stream website on my laptop, and plug it into my TV whilst I workout.  Tonight, out of nowhere (with no softare changes, video changes or setting changes) it is all jumbled like yours.  Mine plays audio just fine, but the video is all granular boxes jumping all over the screen.  I am using Google Chrome, and even took the time to contact support verbally.  They were able to get it work with IE, but I don't like the insecurity of the IE platform.  Curious as to why all of the sudden users are experiencing these issues for a service we are paying for.

On Demand using google Chrome from my laptop is the way I exclusively watch TV for 7 years.  About 2.5 weeks ago for no reason, it stopped working. The picture is pixilated and split screen. Nothing had changed.  The Xfinity employee said that my hard drive must need an update from the day before, yet my computer says I am up to date on everything.  Since I am the only one that watches multiple channels in my household and do so from my computer -I will be dropping back to the most basic package....no need to spend hundreds each month for nothing!

you are blaming xfinity for a chrome browser issue. please read the post directly above your post as it has the answer.

chrome://settings/system "Use hardware acceleration when available" = off, then close Chrome and restart it.
