Streaming on a PC: How many years do we have to wait for Comcast to give us a replacement to Flash?
I am pessimistic about Comcast continuing streaming to non-mobile devices like PC's. If they cared Comcast would not force their customers to have to deal with all the popup's required for a Flash session since the whole industry has accepted the demise of Flash becuase of securtity weaknesses.
Via forums like this we have been asking for years for a response from Comcast. In my world my PC type devices are just as important to me as my TV cable boxes. Comcast has discontinued legacy Windows 10 apps and Xbox apps with no mention of replacements. There are more than enough Windows 10 machines to justify a solutuon and it is now even easier for Comcast since Microsoft has released Beta versions of the new Chromium based Edge broswer that is pretty stable and would support HTML5 video. Chromium is cross platform and would be cost effective for a solution.
How about a real response Comcast?
