Nowtv Cloud DVR Issues

For the past few months xfinity cloud dvr service on the nowtv hasn’t been working correctly. It doesn’t matter what device I use, scheduled recordings dissapear and my recordings dissapear. It doesn’t matter if I log out, log back in, clear cache, delete and reinstall the apps. It’s clearly an issue on the back end with xfinity, it worked fine for over a year now. The self help chat doesn’t fix anything and the customer service reps don’t know anything and can’t even read my concern. I am really getting tired of this. It’s very random and all of a sudden my recordings will reappear. If I go to schedule a recording on a program I already set, it shows it’s already scheduled. What gives xfinity? Please don’t respond with a generic troubleshooting guide. Read my post and actually answer it.

I have had the now TV streaming service for about 7 weeks. Suddenly I schedule recordings, but they aren't scheduled. There is no more recording ability. I have used 3 different device apps and the streaming box. None work now, but all did last week. I have even deleted and reinstalled the apps.

Hello @Crashwriter, and thank you for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums, and for sharing what you've been experiencing.

I can understand how frustrating it must be when a feature you've been using successfully for weeks suddenly stops working across multiple devices.

Since you've already tested with several apps, used your Xfinity Stream Box, and even reinstalled the applications without any improvement, we'd like to take a closer look at your account and DVR service provisioning to see what may have changed. There could be an issue preventing recordings from being scheduled properly, and we'll be happy to investigate further.

Please send us a Direct Message* with your full name and complete service address so we can review the account in more detail and help get your recording functionality working again. We look forward to assisting you. 😀

@XfinityEva

Are you going to actually look into this issue? Tier 3 support last night couldn’t fix it. This seems to be a bigger issue.

So sounds like this is a bigger issue, countless phone calls and tickets opened and they don’t know what’s going on. They even tried to tell me I needed a new modem. I am glad I am not the only one having this issue.

My multiple and very lengthy sessions with tech have led to many promises and platitudes.  Was it fixed?  no  Does xfinity care? absolutely not.  I know someone who works in the tech field (not xfinity).  He told me that they must follow a script, and if they deviate, they get in trouble with their boss.  No  incentive for them to really look into the problem and learn how to fix it.

@kw6

I am fairly certain it is a 3rd party tech support not based in the USA. Every time I ask them they say they work directly for Comcast. I have an appointment tomorrow at my local xfinity store where I will show an employee exactly what’s going on. My

next step is I am actually going to cancel all my services with them and go elsewhere.

As an update to my visit to the local xfinity store. I filed a complaint against the 3rd party tech support and requested a in house representative take a look at it. I sent a lengthy email to the store manager and she was very pleasant and helpful. Now to see how things go from here.
