No sound for DVR recording for PBS Patience S2 E4
Never had this problem before. I recorded PBS show Patience S2 E4 on 7/5/2026. There is video but no sound or captions.

Hi there. Since the video plays but both the audio and captions are missing, the first step is to check whether this is limited to that one recording or affecting other DVR content as well.
Please try playing another recording, then test the same episode through the Xfinity Stream app on another device. You can also check whether the episode is available On Demand, since that version may have the correct audio track.
If other recordings play normally and only this episode is affected, the issue was likely captured in the original broadcast or recording and restarting the box would not restore the missing audio. If multiple recordings are affected, please restart the TV box and let us know the box model and whether live TV still has sound.
