NBC access via Xfinity Stream i Milwaukee Wisconsin viewing area
Unable to stream NBC WTMJ in Milwaukee Wisconsin viewing area since September 4, 2026. My Xfinity service is in Illinois. Have been streaming with Xfinity Stream since 2019. As of September 4, 2026 I get a “We’ve got a Location issue.
Unfortunately, we can’t play
this video within this market.

I can understand why that would be frustrating, especially after being able to stream WTMJ for years and then seeing a market restriction message appear unexpectedly.
Since you already have a ticket open, you should be aware that local broadcast stations are often subject to market-based streaming rights. Because your service address is in Illinois, the content provider may determine that certain Milwaukee-area programming isn't authorized for streaming outside its designated market, even if you've previously been able to access it.
Hopefully the open ticket will help determine whether this is a recent change in content rights, location verification, or another issue affecting access to WTMJ. In the meantime, keeping an eye on the ticket for updates is likely the best path forward.
It would be helpful to other community members if you would share what you discover here as well.
