LG Xfinity Stream app not working

I have a very new top of the line LG OLED 77" TV with the Xfinity Stream app in the app list, however, it gives me an error message when logging in.  The app is there, it allows me to log in, but ultimately errors out without launching.  LG customer service says it is an issue with Xfinity not having authorized the device to access their platform (went through a long troubleshooting experience with a live agent from LG that led to nowhere).  The error message says  "This package is not yet available on this device. In the meantime, you can watch using the Xfinity Stream app on a mobile device, Amazon FIRE TV, etc. You can also watch on xfinity.com and broadcast to Google Chromecast or Apple TV AirPlay."  LG customer service says "The LG TV that you are using is not authorized or they need to authorize your LG TV to use the app"

I have the latest software on the TV (LG confirmed).  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Xfinity Stream app.  LG attempted to change the DNS server address to fix the issue.  I tried launching on different wireless networks.  Nothing fixes the error.  Xfinity - PLEASE HELP!  I pay for your service but can't get it on my best TV!!!
