Free this week HBO Max: No 'Hacks"

Hi, My Xfinity guide shows that HBO Max is Free this Week to stream until Sunday, June 21. When I scroll down to Hit TV shows on HBO Max, the first show listed is Hacks. However, when I click on Hacks and try to watch it, I am taken to screens that say Launch HBO Max, and that I am required to subscribe to HBO on Xfinity. How can I watch Hacks as advertised? I haven't had any problems watching other networks offered for free streaming, so I hope you can help me out. Thank you.

... I am taken to screens that say Launch HBO Max, and that I am required to subscribe to HBO on Xfinity ...

"Free this Week" typically is accessed using certain Xfinity methods instead of the network in question. https://www.xfinity.com/hub/free-tv-movies/free-tv-week says:

... X1, Xumo Streambox, and Xfinity Internet customers can all unlock entertainment with no strings attached ... Browse free on demand movies and shows and start watching right away on your TV or with the Xfinity Stream app ...

So we would expect "Hacks" to be available at no charge On Demand or using the Stream App, but all the episodes there appear to be listed only as "Available to Own". Either the "Free this Week" page needs to be corrected, or the supposedly "free" programming needs to actually be made free!

ETA: Curiously, although "Hacks" is still not free 3 DAYS LATER (!!!) on the Stream app and https://www.xfinity.com/stream, a number of HBO Max programs are, for example, "Last Week Tonight With John Oliver" and many others. As difficult as it may be to believe, we have to consider the possibility that Comcast/Xfinity has utterly failed to make it's list of Free This Week programs correspond with reality.

Hello there user_43c189 👋 I appreciate you stopping by our community for help, and even more glad to hear you're staying up to date on our Free This Week benefits for our Xfinity internet customers! Hacks is definitely a show I'd recommend, so I want to make sure you're able to check it out yourself. When accessing content form our Free This Week benefits, you'll want to make sure you're specifically accessing those programs through your Xfinity X1 equipment or Xfinity Stream app via our on-demand catalog. If you're still running into the issue, can you let me know how you're attempting to access it?

More information on how to take advantage of our rolling Free This Week catalog, please check out xfinity.com/hub/free-tv-movies/free-tv-week 👍

Xfinity Seth,

Thank you for your reply. I have been trying to access it exclusively through my Xfinity X1 box, using a couple methods: saying Free this Week into my remote; going to On Demand; going to the streaming app for HBO; and clicking on the FTW banner on Xfinity screen. I tried again just now and still no luck on Hacks, despite it being one of the HBO series highlighted on FTW and On Demand. I hope Xfinity can offer a solution! Thanks!

That's definitely odd, but I appreciate you clarifying! In that case I'd like to look at things a bit further on our end to see if we can help 👍 Please send us a direct chat message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the full service address associated with your account to “Xfinity Support”. HBO supposed to be free June 14-20.  I've spent over 5 HOURS on chats and phone calls with Xfinity.   They don't know what's going on.  Kept trying to ADD HBO to my bill.  Explained we get a free channel to try every week.  They didn't understand anything.  Switched me to several departments.  Said it would be fixed in 24 hours.  Called Wednesday - agent [Edited: "Language"] MY BILL UP - SHE ADDED HBO.  I asked her 3 times - are you sure it's not added to my bill.  No.  Still not working. and minutes after I hung up - email saying confirming your new order.  She ADDED HBO to my bill.  Spent another hour on the phone trying to get my bill back to where it was.  Won't know until next bill comes in.  THEN I get a text saying my equipment has been shipped??????????????????  Had to call back AGAIN.  All this [Edited: "Profanity"] and still NO HBO.  Says subscribe.  And the week's almost over.  Terrible Customer Support.  Only perks that work are the ones no one wants!

Tried via OnDemand Free this week, via voice remote, via app - all say subscribe.  Reset system.  Reset box.  5+ HOURS on chat and phone - NO RESOLUTION.
