Favorites

When I go to live tv I would like to default to favorites. When I press the * button I get a choice for default, but there is no option in filter preferences  to select favorites.  Frustrating.  Any fix or work around?

Hello @user_cjj85r, I appreciate a good question from newer customers! At this time there is not an option to change channel lineup whilst channel surfing, but I am working on getting this suggestion over to our product team.

You can change your default guide view temporarily or permanently to your filter preference by following the steps in the article below. Please let me know if this is what you were referring to.

I have tried many times setting favorites in preferences.  And I obviously set the guide to favorites.  But the next time I turn on cable I no longer have favorites selected.  I have to go back into the guide and reset it to favorites. Very frustrating. So how do I make the guide stay as favorites?  I need another fix because what you suggest does not work.

Thanks for reaching back out, what I recommend is doing a hard reset on your cable box by unplugging the power cord from the back of the cable box for 30 seconds and plugging it back in,  this will update the firmware.

 

Then go back into your guide settings and select your favorites and they should be there for you the next time you turn on your cable box
