Audio Out of Sync on Roku Xfinity Stream App

I'm trying to watch "The Edge of Seventeen" through the Xfinity stream app on my Roku, and the audio is out of sync. I tried rebooting the Roku, resetting the app, and uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and I still have the same issue. I tried watching another film, and did not have this issue. I also tried watching this film through the browser, and did not have the issue. Is there something specific to this film that's causing this issue? Are there other steps that can be taken? Thank you for your time.

user_7jhxnp Welcome to our community forum! You've reached the perfect place to get help with your Xfinity account and service. Thank you for giving me an idea of the troubleshooting steps you've already tried so we don't repeat anything :). Are you noticing audio sync issues on other movies/shows you watch through the Stream app on your Roku? What type of audio device are you using?

The Roku outputs audio to a Denon receiver. I had previously experienced sync issues with The Great Debaters, but I haven't noticed issues with other films or TV shows that I've watched through the app.

Thanks for confirming. Since this only happens with specific titles (The Edge of Seventeen and previously The Great Debaters), and playback is fine on other content and in a browser, this points to a title‑specific audio/encoding issue in the Roku Stream app rather than your Denon receiver. One thing to try: on your Roku, temporarily set Audio Mode to Stereo and HDMI output to PCM, then relaunch the app and test the movie again. If that fixes the sync, it usually means the surround audio track for that title is the issue. If it still happens, let me know your Roku model and OS version.

I set the output to Stereo, but there's no setting for PCM. I had the same issue with out-of-sync audio.

I'm using a Roku Ultra, running software version 15.1.4, build 3321.

I'd like you to try something - there is a known issue with Roku players with some titles that can cause audio synch issues.  It involves the volume leveling function when using external sound devices.

Can I ask you to try disabling it if possible while trying to watch the show and let us know if this fixes it?

To disable Roku "Volume Mode" (Leveling or Night Mode), press the star (*) button on your remote while playing content, select Volume Mode, and choose Off.

I had that turned off already. I tried watching the movie again, and turned it on and off, and no change. I have the Roku itself set to "passthrough", and when I change it to one of the other options, I still get the same result. As soon as I start playing the film, there's a brief dropout, and then the audio seems to go out of sync.
