Xfinity stream not casting

Trying to cast from my iPhone to my tv, My app says casting to my device, and my device or tv says Xfinity stream ready to cast, but nothing happens.  All other apps work fine.

I am having the same problem. I spoke with a technician and she said it’s a telephone issue after an hour of troubleshooting.  I didn’t believe that because it used to work. So when will Xfinity have this fixed. Also xfinity, should tell all your technicians about this problem so they know how to resolve it rather than waste your customers time.

It’s now been about two weeks. Still no luck with casting Xfinity go to Chromecast. Any updates, or is it time to shop for new seevice

I'm experiencing the same thing, worked fine a week ago on thursday, then stopped working, then started working I think on weds, worked last night and then doesn't work today again.  [Edited: "Language"] is going on...all other apps cast just fine, it is only xfinity that doesn't work.

It is a mess. I chatted with an agent last night and she said they are aware of the issue but its taking some time to fix because the streaming app is third party.  In the meantime, they refunded me $6.18 for my 6 hours of time last week trying to get it to work.  Wow!

My issue was fixed for 24hrs .. now it’s back to displaying the “Ready to cast” message. Come on Xfinity! Fix the [Edit: Language] issue!! This really [Edit: Language].

Issue still not resolved for me either keeps saying ready to cast on tv, and casting to chrome cast on phone. I’ve left a poor rating on the App Store. Also for those who are being told this is a third party app, that is a lie. The App Store states comcast as the developer.

Was working fine a couple days ago. Still in not working. Chromecast dongle, "media not selected" in Chromecast app, "Xfinity ready to cast" on tv.

Reset Chromecast, cleared data and cache in Xfinity app.

I’m having the same issue for two weeks now. Ready to go back to YouTube tv this is BS.. and they raised my price to 179 a month for garbage internet and tv service that never seems to work.

Same issues here. I have three local channels that have pixelation issues. Took weeks for XFINITY too replace the underground cable to my house they said would fix the problem and the channels are still bad. My work around was casting them to Chromecast. Now their XFINITY streaming app doesn’t work anymore since I updated my phone and iPad to the latest iOS. YouTube TV here I come. XFINTY customer service is the worst. But still have to use them to get internet. Freaking monopoly.

I have been experiencing the same problem for about 2 weeks.  I have ben using Xfinity Stream with Chromecast to my tv for a few years with no problems and then it suddenly stopped working about 2 weeks ago.  When I hit the cast icon on xfinity stream on my android phone, the tv says "ready to cast" and then shows 3 dots but nothing happens.  When I hit the icon to stop casting, it says "media not selected".  I have spent many hours trying all of the troubleshooting steps and nothing works.  I restarted router and phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the xfinity stream app on my phone, reset my chromecast to factory settings, reset my tv to factory settings but it still does not work.  Xfinity - Can you please give us a status update on this problem, which you stated you were working on back in early Oct.
