Xfinity stream in Roku not showing all live channels

The Xfinity stream app is not showing all channels. It’s only showing a couple of dozen channels. This is on three different Rokus in my house. Have tried restarting the devices and the app and it has not changed. All channels show on the Xfinity box. Hopefully comcast is working to fix this.

I just started having this issue too and it is on all of my TV's.  Restarting app, modem, and checking for local disruption in service (which there is none) did not resolve issue.  Internet service working fine, televisions all working properly as well, and no other apps are having an issue.   Please update as to what the problem is and how to resolve quickly.  Thank you

I am sorry to hear that you are still having an issue with your Xfinity Stream app, we are working on this issue, and seeing some customers still intermittently having this issue. I know I love using my Xfinity Stream app to view my favorite movies and shows, and we want you to be able to enjoy the convenience of the app also. I am confident our skilled teams will have the Xfinity Stream app working as soon as possible.

I no longer work for Comcast.

The problem is on xfinity's end. There is nothing to do but wait. It is a pain. I think I will be moving to youtube tv and keeping xfinity for internet. I will save money (not a ton) but some and I think Youtube is more reliable.

I am missing multiple channels in the streaming app on my Roku Premiere; I am also missing at least the NBA TV and TNT channels on my IOS devices. Troubleshooting steps have not helped.

Hi, @jiman, are you unable to see the channels show up, or are you just unable to watch them?

Channels are not showing up on the “Live TV” listing and searching for them leads me to some “On Demand” choices.

Thank you so much for this information. Are you streaming the Xfinity Stream App at home or out of your home?

@XfinityRoberto , this is a broad issue, with users of Roku devices on their home networks on Xfinity internet service. It is localized to just Roku devices as any other device with the Xfinity Stream app on it in a home network on Xfinity Internet can obtain Live TV channels yet a Roku device cannot. This seems to be something maybe your Dev Team is tinkering with relating solely to Roku Devices and needs to be rolled back/fixed a.s.a.p., and your Support team taking calls and answering questions here need to be fully updated on what is happening and when this will be fixed for Xfinity customers using a Roku device and the Xfinity Stream app.

UPDATE>>> As of about 10pm central time tonight (11/24/22), my Xfinity Stream app on my Roku Ultra is once again showing all Live TV channels. I'm in the Chicago area. I did absolutely nothing other than check to see if they by some chance were back and like magic they were all back. I hope it stays working. Hopefully this will mean the rest of you should get yours back soon. I've seen some posts indicating they have already. Happy Holidays to all here in the forum on this post. Thanks for the contribution of info in this crazy Xfinity mystery outage.

I just began having this issue today. On my iPhone app or watching through the Xfinity box, I have all the channels. Trying to watch on the xfinity app through my roku, I only have 3 channels available to me. It was working fine yesterday.

I have a similar problem, just started an hour ago.  I don’t have any live channels…. I get a message that “it looks like your plan doesn’t include any channels…” on my Roku and smart TV.  However, I have the full live TV channel listing on the stream app on my iPhone…. Same network.

and yes….  I have a TV package with channels….

I also have this problem, started earlier today (central Indiana).  I can see some of my recordings, but only NFL Network is available for live TV.  Reboots, re-logins, reinstalls, etc don't fix the issue.

@user_bd6d6f I’m in central Indy too, and also only had 3 NFL channels. Everything is randomly back to normal now, though.

My Roku Ultra just an  hour ago stopped showing any channels in the Xfinity Stream app like everyone else has been reporting. I am in the Chicagoland area and using this on my home network connected to my Xfinity internet. Tried power cycling Roku, tried uninstalling Xfinity Stream, re-installing, power cycling Roku Ultra, nothing is restoring Live TV channels within Xfinity Stream app. I can load and view Live TV channels on the Xfinity Stream app on my phones, on my pc, but as of an hour ago Xfinity Stream app on my Roku Ultra stopped providing Live TV channels. What are you doing to fix this ongoing issue Xfinity??? Evidently it would seem your DEVS are tinkering with something that directly affects Roku devices, and are not telling your customers that are using Roku devices...PLEASE FIX THIS ALREADY!!!

Same problem here in central Indiana. Only NFL Network showing up as live channels on my Roku; no other channels available. Do not have this problem with my Amazon Fire Sticks, only the Roku. Reinstalling and logging back in doesn’t work.

Same problem in Houston.  I got a text this morning saying network was to be enhanced today and now having issues with streaming.  Only 4 channels on Roku and have tv go on tablet.  Main cable box is not having these issues.

@user_161945 - Thank you for your feedback. This is not the experience we want for anyone. Have you tried using the Xfinty My Account app to troubleshoot your services?

I’m in Middle Tennessee and found this issue about 4pm today while I was looking for something to watch or listen to while cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I am not happy. Is there any point in trying to troubleshoot?

Started here in Chicago area this afternoon. Tried to restart on both Roku devices and also our flex Comcast device.

worst of all Comcast would not provide me with an actual cable box when signed up few months ago. The only way I have access to tv is through the stream app. Which I find to be insane.

Zero help from support, supposed to call me in a hour to resolve.

if I have to use an app to watch tv, why would I stay with Comcast vs Hulu TV or YouTubeTv, etc.

They have me trapped in a game of who’s this bigger idiot

I am having the exact issue and the rep that I just spoke to told me that it was an issue with Roku. So I don't know but I guess I will try to a hold of them and see. But if anyone else knows how to fix this please let me know. Thank you

@user_22e827 I'm thinking it's Comcast/Xfinity. They have to work with an API probably from Roku, to build their Xfinity Stream app and certify it with Roku. If Xfinity changes anything on how their end communicates to Roku, it breaks everything. I'm betting Xfinity is trying out new things on the Xfinity Streaming overall, and broke the API to Roku.

Can confirm since it also doesn’t work on my Comcast device, which uses their stream app.

them blaming Roku, makes me feel reel positive that this will be resolved anytime soon.

Oh I'm sure it has nothing to do with Roku, because I can stream everything else and I can watch my recorded shows. I just have like 12 channels out off 185+ and they are like infomercials. We are not very happy right now and we have loved the service since we got them, but they may lose us and I'm sure many others pretty soon because of this.

Using Xfinity Stream on Roku, I am only getting a few TNT channels, though I don't have. TNT subscription. All other apps/channels work fine.
