Xfinity Stream Beta stopped working

I've had a Samsung smart tv for some time now with the Xfinity Stream Beta app installed and working fine.  All of a sudden, I've started receiving a notification that says "This device can only access Xfinity Stream on your in-home Xfinity network. Use the app on your smartphone...." Its been working flawlessly for months.

I found a hack to making it work
when you enter the code
You will get a sorry something went wrong message

Hit the back button on tv It will bring you back to the code screen hit get new code

On your phone or tablet you should have received an
tv success redirecting to tv message after putting code first time

Hit the back button on phone will bring you back to enter code screen put in the new code..

You may have to do this several time I did it 4 times and now the app is back working

Before I did the steps I uninstalled the app first and unplug the tv for a few minutes..

Should work after a couple tries.

This "fix" does not work. And that's the best you can do? Unplug then plug back in??? Seems to me that maybe better software development might be in order. This is the kind of thing that just pushes everyone over the edge and away from cable.

@ComcastJonathan i have been using beta stream app for over a year,  have a brand new Samsung and I keep getting an 0100 error it will even happen during a show.  Also will just not start at all, have to unplug tv restart xfinity stream and try again.  Works OK on my LG please help very frustrating calling and having them say same thing.  A couple days ago I was told they reset a wrong switch, but still happening

Yeah this issue with the Samsung app has been going on for weeks now and still no official response. Has anyone had any success in contacting Samsung about the issue?

This is a Comcast issue and their inability to integrate their app with the Samsung OS (Tizen). If you follow the updates of Comcast vs Samsung I suspect the most recent update was Comcast. If it was stable prior to the update, but not now then you have the evidence Comcast update is the issue

Wanted to share a solution that may not be everyones problem/solution. BUT I was using an Arris personally owned modem and swaped out for the XB7 (when they started data limiting customers... thats another subject).... but when I made the switch the activation process never activated my newly rented modem from xfinity.  They needed to manually activate (I suspect it was a stuck MAC address showing I wasnt on my local network).  In any case simple solution once I prompted the tech what appeared to be the issue.

My Xfinity stream has always worked great through the Roku stick.  In the last week to 10 days, it keeps cutting out on each of the TVs we have.  I want to plug the TV in the Roku stick waited and re-plugged it back in. No difference. Is Xfinity trying to sabotage the Roku stick devices?

I've had Roku sticks installed on several Sony TVs running the Xfinity stream beta app. There have never been any issues up till about two weeks ago. Now it constantly cuts out and I get messages that Xfinity is trying to resolve the problem. Is Xfinity trying to sabotage the Roku stick devices so we're forced to use their proprietary devices?

all of a sudden, Xfinity stream Beta no longer works on my TVs with Roku+ sticks.

Is Xfinity trying to force people to use their proprietary devices?
