Xfinity Stream App Stopped Working After Update

Is anyone else experiencing major problems with the Xfinity Stream App?  I have it on both my ipad and iphone and it barely functions on either one after the latest update about 3-4 weeks ago.  I have uninstalled it and then reinstalled it several times.  Both my devices are up to date and all of my other streaming apps work just fine.  This is getting extremely annoying.  Does anyone know what is going on and when this will be fixed?

I’m having the same problem on both of my Samsung TVs. It has been glitchy since the most recent update and now it will not even load on my one tv.

No it is not. That fix solved the problem it was designed to fix, however, the app still opens to a black screen and needs to be closed and reopened in order for the black screen to go away.

Also, the app drops the audio of recordings on both devices. The audio recorded just fine on my tv but it gets dropped on the app. I think I officially give up on this app.

there is no 'recorded with'. Audio is like video just a stream. you have to tell the app which audio stream you want to listen to. if you choose SAP and there is no SAP stream there is no audio. Same for video description. you didn't say what device, but on most videos there is a icon that you can use to change SAP and audio description to off.

Thank you but I said in my initial post it wasn’t working on both my iPad and my iPhone since the latest update. Regardless of what you are saying about the audio, the app definitely does not work correctly since the latest update approximately 4 weeks ago.

I am having the same issue since the app update. Were you able to solve the issue?

No. The only thing that does work is closing the app and then re-opening it.

Yes, Having all the same problems others citing above since December, 2020. Stops, black screen, mismatched audio/video (ad spot sound behind frozen screen), screen freeze/blackout every 30-60 seconds during playback of recordings. Happens on ROKU-TV setup w/ app and iPad Air2. Like everyone else, no problems with Netflix or Amazon prime.  Does anyone know how to go back and reload the earlier version of Xfinity stream beta? That would be pre-December 2020 update.

Tried that multiple times, still doesn't fix playback problems with freezing screen, black screen, etc.
