Xfinity Stream App on Roku works for a week or so and then have to reinstall
I would love it if anyone else has this same problem or a solution. I have searched but, so far, have found no one else having this problem.
I have the Xfinity stream app installed on a Roku stick. I have checked and it is a compatible stick and it is running the latest version of the Roku software.
About every week or so (sometimes more, sometimes less). I click on the Xfinity stream app on the Roku, it goes to the screen which says "Initializing" and then returns back to the Roku Home. No matter how many times I try it again, it does the same thing.
I have tried rebooting and that doesn't fix it. The only way to fix it is to uninstall and reinstall the app. Once I have done that, I can activate the app and use it normally.
I have tried uninstalling, rebooting the roku, reinstalling, reboot the roku, then activating, but that doesn't seem to make it last any longer. Eventually, I have to uninstall and reinstall.
This last time, I reset the device completely. Same behavior. I have tried changing networks (I have multiple wireless networks) but that hasn't worked.
I tried another Roku stick, thinking there was a problem with the stick. Same behavior.
I would love to have an anwer for this. It has been going on for over a year. This is on a TV we watch only in the morning for a couple of hours, but it is very frustrating when it has to be uninstalled and reinstalled.
Thanks for any help or advice you can provide.

try a test. sign in to xfinity.com and select account, then users. add a new unrestricted user and use that user/password to sign in to the roku xfinity stream beta channel. see if it works normally for a week or two.

Tried that. Created a new user ID not tied to anything else. Worked for a week (which is sort of normal) and then stopped. Uninstalled the app, rebooted the Roku, installed the app, rebooted again. Worked for another week. Stopped working. Same symptoms.
Thanks for your help.
Any other ideas of what might be the cause or a solution?
Thanks.

No changes. I felt like it might have been solved because it lasted 2 weeks but then it reverted to its old behavior. I tried turning on bandwidth limiting this morning to see if that might help, because it was only a couple of days working this week.
To answer the previous question by @Rustyben, the roku is not moved. It is not on a VPN. It is on a consistent wireless network.
