Xfinity stream app not working on Samsung smart tv

I have a new series 7 Samsung smart tv. I downloaded the xfinity stream beta app. I hit get started and am given a 6 digit code. I enter that at xfinity.com/authorize - it sends the info successfully to the tv but the tv shows TVAPP-00100 error code. I have spent hours trying to get this resolved with xfinity. Nothing has worked. It’s very disappointing.

An update.  Happened to me again (TV APP 00100).  Frustrating as I wanted to watch two football games at the same time.  Cable box on one, Xfinity app on smart TV showing the other.  VERY DISAPPOINTING as error popped up AGAIN.  I tried my fix as described in above messages.  This time it did not work! Again and again, it did not work, as some of you have reported that my fix did not work for you.

After I cleared the data and cache, removed the Xfinity app, turned off TV, re-installed Xfinity app, activated code shown on TV, I once again received the same TV AP 00100 error.  AAAARGGHHH!  This time I hit RETURN on the remote and it backed up a screen, hit RETURN on remote and it backed up to the previous activation code.  I clicked on the button for a new code.  I activated that code.  SUCCESS!  I received the disclaimer message.  I accepted it and now have my second TV showing a different college football game than the other television.

Is any of these experiences giving Comcast any help with correcting the bugs on their app on Samsung smart televisions?  There is no guarantee that this will work the next time and I will waste 30 minutes at an inopportune time to get live TV working on this set.

I have the app working on 4 TVs and Roku. The one TV where it does not work is the same brand as the other TVs although a different model. I moved the Roku to run off the same network connection as that TV, and the Roku works fine. This is clearly a software bug of some type.

The limit is good to know. Although I had two TVs set up at the same time just the other day. And my issue with the one TV had been identified per above threads even before the two new installs. I will remove one TV, but I do not suspect that to make a difference.

on the one not working. before doing a factory reset and updating until no updates available, try removing the stream beta app and then unplugging the TV from AC for 3+ minutes then plug back in. reload the stream app and sign in and be sure to accept the terms and conditions. did either procedure work?

I have done a similar procedure, but have not kept it unplugged for 3 minutes. I will try and see what happens.

Hi @TheBigDot! I hope all is well. I just wanted to reach out to see if you've had the chance to try the steps provided by @Rustyben? Did that fix the issue you were having with the Xfinity Stream App on your Samsung Smart TV?
