Xfinity App Unavailable on TCL Google TV

I just purchased a brand new TCL 75QM7K TV.  While setting it up, I discovered that the Xfinity Streaming App is not available on Google TVs....  WHY???!!!!  This is unacceptable.  The Xfinity Streaming App should be available on all TVs as all other apps like Netflix, HBOMax, Prime Video, Disney+ are.  If they are available, so should the Xfinity Streaming App.  The workaround is to cast the Xfinity Streaming app from my phone which is ridiculous!  I have been an Xfinity customer for many years and have spent tons of money on your services.  Xfinity needs to fix this ASAP, I know I am not alone with my frustration on this issue.  I would like to know why this app is missing and what Xfinity is doing about it.

Hi there, @user_4i3nki . Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. That is correct, that model of TV is not currently compatible with the XFINITY Stream app, unfortunately. I can understand your frustration at this inconvenience. You can see a list of partner devices and an FAQ located here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-stream-app-faqs.

Regarding the "why" :

Why are some models not supported?
Not all device models meet the minimum hardware requirements for the Xfinity Stream app. We're working with equipment manufacturers to bring the Xfinity Stream app to more devices and models.

Getting access to the app on more devices is an ongoing effort. While I have no information on when or if your specific model may be able to use the app in the future, as you've mentioned there is a workaround. Also, with our current cable TV packages, you do get the first cable box rental free, so that is an option as well. While I know these answers may not be ideal, we do want to be transparent on where we are with this issue. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
