Xfinity app on Roku

The app opens and then takes me to main screen but then closes and goes back to Roku Home Screen. Deleted and reinstalled twice. Still same issue.

9:14am in Chicago and xfinity app now working on Roku.  I had same issues last night - you open xfinity and it closed right away.   I used my iPad to stream to Roku using iPad xfinity stream app.  Worked fine with that work around.  Take care.

OMG! I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME HERE IN PA!  SPENT TWO HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH A (FOREIGN) REP WHO WAS TOTALLY CLUELESS!  KEPT TELLING ME MY APP WASN'T COMPATIBLE WITH MY ROKU AND I REPEATEDLY TOLD HER I'VE BEEN USING IT ON MY ROKU FOR THREE YEARS!  SEEING THESE POSTS LETS ME KNOW THAT I'M NOT CRAZY AND WILL BE ASKING FOR A CREDIT FOR THE DAYS I CANNOT ACCESS

To access your account, will you please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

Update at 11:00 a.m. EST - Roku appears to have fixed the issue.  They told me to try again in a while, and I just did, and it now works.  Deleting and reinstalling app did Nothing.

There was definitely an issue on the backend.

I just hung up with Xfinity and the person I talked to was wonderful. She said that they have been notified that there is a problem with their streaming app on Roku and it is being worked on, she said that they became aware of this being a big problem this morning by their supervisors.

Me too. Roku stick. I deleted and reinstalled the app. Restarted the stick twice. Always the same. 2 seconds, then back to the Roku home screen.

FWIW - Seems that the earlier Roku(ultra)/XfinityStream problem is now working ok - at least here in PittsburghPA - as/of Thursday, November 2, 2023 (12:55pm/et/usa) - in any case - Stay Safe and Healthy !!
