Xfinity App not allowing to fast forward

When a recording is still recording, the App crashes when I try to fast forward.  The App works for recordings that are finished, but not while the recording is in progress.  This issue has been going for a month.  Any fixes?

Good evening user_xvznzq. I can understand where that would certainly be frustrating. Have you already deleted and uninstalled the app off of your device, and resinstalled it?

user_xvznzq Is there any error code or error message that comes up when you notice that it's crashed? Also, is there any consistency with the channel you are recording, or is it just any recording, and you try to fast-forward during?

TVAPP-00382 is the error code.  After I try to fast forward it goes back to the start of the recording and then when I try to fast forward again it eventually crashes and shows that code.

I am having the exact same issue.  I try to watch the Sunday Night Football game (NBC) or Monday Night Football game (ESPN) after I put my son to bed.  I try to fast forward through the commercials but it will not let me.  This has been happening for all of the football season.  This did not happen with xfinity stream ever before.   I don't understand why its happening now.

I posted 5 weeks ago about the same issue. There are many others posts/comments about the same exact issue happening with other tv brands and laptops. The issue is independent of the device it is installed on. I think we deserve an honest, transparent explanation about what is being done to fix it. Please do not ask for direct messaging or to request a service appointment. If the issue is currently being investigated and xfinity is actively working on solutions, give us a timeline. I think this is a fair request.
