user_sil0vz thanks for sharing this experience. Did you open the Xfinity app to see if there was a known issue with Xfinity Video service? This is the first thing I would check since the issue is happening on multiple devices and platforms.

did a live chat on 3/29 and it took over an hour but they did something on your end and it all works now, they never said why it occurred or how they were able to restore but it's great now

How did you get the Xfinity app on a Roku?

Great question! So technically, the Xfinity Stream app isn’t available as a standalone app on Roku the way it is on phones, tablets, or some smart TVs—but there is a way to use your Xfinity login to stream through the Roku using the Xfinity Stream Beta app (yep, it’s still in beta, but it works great for most folks!).

Here’s how you can get it set up:

  1. From your Roku home screen, go to Streaming Channels

  2. Choose Search Channels, then type in Xfinity Stream Beta

  3. Select it, then choose Add Channel

  4. Once it’s added, open the app and follow the on-screen instructions—it’ll prompt you to activate by visiting xfinity.com/authorize and entering the code on your screen

  5. Sign in with your Xfinity username and password, and you’re all set!

It gives you access to your channel lineup, On Demand, and cloud DVR (if you have it). Just keep in mind that your Roku device has to be on the same home network as your Xfinity service for full access.

Let me know if you need help getting it set up—we’re happy to walk you through it!
