Why doesn't Xfinity Stream app work on my LG OLED TV?

I have 2 LG OLED TVs, 77" C2 and 48" C3.  I recently downloaded the Stream app on both TVs via the LG App Store.  The app installs and launches to the "Sign On" page but nothing else.  Actually, the white Sign On button isn't active and can't be clicked.

I have deleted and reinstalled but no success.  Is this an Xfinity Stream app issue or LG WebOS issue?  I can't find a conclusive answer to this.

Please help.

mistergsf Were you able to get logged into the Stream app? If not, can you check to make sure your TV's have the latest software from LG?

Same issue for me. I’ve deleted and redownloaded, no luck.

@user_owwk4e I understand how frustrating it can be when the Xfinity Stream app doesn’t work on your LG OLED TV. I had the same issue happen to me a few months back on my LG smart tv. I can recommend some of the steps I did. I removed the stream app from the TV, went and did a complete restart of the tv, downloaded the app again. I also checked for software updates on the LG tv itself. Made sure the Stream app was up to date.

We have more than one smart LG smart tvs in our home. When watching Xfinity on the one, it shuts it off after a while. That doesn’t happen I’m the other tvs or with other apps on the same tv. Hoping to get an answer on this.

Hello user_9ebzn5! Thanks for reaching out to us on our Xfinity Forums! I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue while watching TV. I love being able to stream to my roku and LG devices so when it fails to work I know the hassle is can cause. I'm happy to help figure out what is going wrong for us. Are all the LG TV's the same model? May I have the model please? Does the app close on the TV or does the TV itself shut down?

PROBLEM RESOLVED! I was having the same problem. I get to the sign in page and nothing, the sign in button appeared to be not active. I decided to purchase a universal remote control from Best Buy. I programmed it to the TV and sure enough it worked! I read somewhere that the LG magic remote does not work with the Xfinity stream app. I am now able to sign in and watch Xfinity Stream channels.
