We've got a location issue
Hi, trying to watch a local FOX station. It works fine on the xfinity stream app on my phone because it asks my location. However, when I try to use the same phone, hotspotted to my laptop, the xfinity stream website says "We’ve got a location issue. Unfortunately, we can’t play this video within this market." I am assuming this is because the browser is reporting me somewhere else, even though I am using the same phone. How do I tell Firefox that I am in the local range of that FOX station? Thanks.

Hello and Happy Wednesday!
We appreciate you taking the time to reach out regarding the streaming troubles you're experiencing when connected to your Hotspot!
You are correct in observing that it is in fact related to the location! Ultimately we do offer quite a few networks while outside of the home and connected to alternate hot spots and wi-fi networks. Though, the full content may not be able to accessed unless at home!
I've included a resource here if you'd like to check the details out of streaming certain content and network while in, versus out of home!

That being said, as for checking the location based upon where Firefox is recognizing, I know that there are some particular settings that can be altered in the configuration. However, we would recommend checking out the steps and specifics perhaps online.
Please let us know if you have any further questions! 🙂

I am having the same issue with ABC, however, this is happening when using the fire stick on a TV. Also the local NBC Connecticut is showing New York news and weather.
