Since it is sporadic, I would imaging I am logged in.  But, yes, I am

It primarily occurs with movies and AMC is a common challenged.  It is eratice but very annoying.  There is no way I am the only one with the issue.  I have the correct firmware (and most curre) from Samsung.  As a VERY technical person, it appears that the app has issues with delays in transmissions and throws this error.

This is aggravating in that you require a box and then provide an app which is not as reliable as the box.  I am not going to rent a second box, I will just stream from other sources on my bedroom TV.  Pretty sad, but this is Comcast and your support has been spotty at best for decades now.

user_90egt3 Thanks for the feedback. The Xfinity error code TVAPP-00148 typically appears when using the Xfinity Stream app on Samsung Smart TVs, and it usually means there's a problem with streaming video, even though the app menu loads fine.

What Causes TVAPP-00148?
Samsung TV Firmware Issues – This is the most common cause. We have confirmed that the issue is related to firmware bugs on some 2021 Samsung Smart TVs, not the Xfinity app itself.
App Glitches or Corrupted Cache
Network Connectivity Problems
Outdated App or TV Software

Update Your Samsung TV Firmware

This is the most effective fix:

On your Samsung remote, go to:
Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

If the option is grayed out, exit the Xfinity app or switch to the TV source.
Let the update complete and restart the TV.

Reinstall the Xfinity Stream App
Delete the app from your Samsung TV.
Restart the TV.
Reinstall the app from the Samsung App Store.
3. Restart Your TV and Network
Unplug your TV for 60 seconds.
Restart your modem/router by unplugging for 30 seconds.
4. Use a Streaming Device as a Workaround
If the issue persists:

Use Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or Chromecast to stream Xfinity.
Or cast from your phone/tablet to the TV using AirPlay or Bluetooth.
