Stream app on Sony TV

I just signed up for Xfinity and forgoed the cable box as I was told I can use the Stream app on my Sony. I am not finding it though.

...it's available on my Android phone but the one place I wanted to use it, I cannot.

Am I doing something wrong? Was I missed/misinformed? I'm really bummed.

not yet announced when/if available for a Sony product.  The Roku device currently has a free to use beta Stream app for Xfinity X1 Cable subscribers but it can only be used on your own home wifi connection.

Yup, they lied to you. They told me the same thing a year ago and got me to lock in a two-year contract just to find out no app is available. Just keep checking back to see if it is.

Not sure what the hold up is getting the Xfinity app released for the Sony TV’s ...as previously mentioned it was originally supposed to happen by the end of 2018.
Here we are Four (4) months deep into 2019 and still no release??

this company is a joke...same happen to me...they told me I can download on ANY TV with smart function...the app for android is also a trash...you can not share the screen with your tv... so I miss my old Uverse...

Hello all, as @Rustyben stated, Sony TV is not a supported device for the Xfinity Stream app at this time. When and if it does become available, communication will be sent out.
