No local channels, networks or NESN in Xfinity Stream.

@ComcastJoeTru I signed up yesterday to add 130+TV channel offer to my existing Internet & Voice. I want to not deal with a box, as I have 2 Roku devices. However the Xfinity stream app does not show local channels, the major networks, or NESN - which are all part of that package. Must we order & rent a box to see those channels? (online assistants are unable to communicate an answer after a couple of sessions.)

For the forum: issue resolved. Today I activated the box/service. Then, all the channels I expected showed up over cable. Once that activation was complete, the channels all appeared in the streaming app as well. And the streaming app seems quite good. Now, I may return the box (it appears unless something goes awry). Bottom line: if you want to stream only, as a new customer, you must get one box anyway, and activate your service using the box first. @ComcastJoeTru @Rustyben thanks for your support.

currently on your account you have streaming service because you have 'cable TV' service provided by your set top box. With that service at no extra charge you can have up to 5 streams (2 outside of home max) because you have a set top box in the home. If you just return the set top box your cable TV service would be terminated and no streams would work. However you can subscribe to no Xfinity set top box cable TV (streaming only) but will be limited to two total streams at the same time. Most packages include an HD box at no extra charge.

@Rustyben How do I actually subscribe to that? Quite frankly, at $8 a month extra it's not even worth dealing with the additional changeover effort and hoping it works.
