New Xfinity customer but can’t watch tv with my new Google Tv chromecast. Xfinity Sale Department told me it would work. But does not. Please help please help

I would be more than happy to offer my assistance. Using the Google Chromecast feature is one of my favorite things with the Xfinity Stream app that we have recently implemented. Makes is easy to cast shows to my Chromecast without the need of a cable box. With Chromecast, it does need to be the official Google Chromecast and not another third-party casting feature. Most common types are the Android/Google TV OS, Google TV with Chromecast, and the original Chromecast.
The Chromecast device must be connected to the same In-Home Network in order to function. This means that both devices must be connected to the modem wirelessly or with an Ethernet. I would highly recommend visiting some of our support pages I have listed below:

so I can cast from my iPhone 11 Pro Max without Google tv and watch Xfinity. my goal is to see my xfinity and Guide on the tv using Google tv with no casting at all. Google tv does not have xfinity app available. They told me it’s a Xfinity issue.
Hi @casting is an option with the Xfinity Stream app but I do not have Google TV itself on the compatible devices https://comca.st/3IF9XxM that is probably why you are not seeing the Xfinity Stream app on their app store when you search that TV. The only option I am seeing with Chrome is the casting that you have been doing https://comca.st/3IEOAwE
