MeTV on Xfinity Stream app
We normally watch MeTV on the Xfinity app on channels 942 and 1180. We do not utilize a set-top-box (STB) but stream the channel. Yesterday, July 24, 2021, for at least the third time this month we could not view MeTV. I have 3 Samsung Smart TVs and several other devices that all have the same issue.
When this occurred we lost the channels for the whole day. We get error code TVAPP-00281. A handful of channels did not came in, e.g. LAFF.
Last week a tier 2 agent said he learned from a tier 3 agent that this was a known issue at Comcast.
- The support automated message says to unplug your device. Which device? We have no STB.
- Agents suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the Xfinity app. Why?
- Why not make all support aware when there is an outage like this one?
- Could you let support know that there are users than stream Xfinity without a STB?

This channel is a local channel. I understand you are trying to save money.
Have you considered using an amplified antenna to get your local channels over the air? We get 50+ channels in our area "free" (not counting commercials).
