Casting Xfinity Stream Content to Chromecast Now Available
Good news! Xfinity customers can now cast programming from the Xfinity Stream app directly to Chromecast devices and supported-TVs. Just look for the casting icon on the top righthand side of the screen to start casting.

I did a test where the SSIDs are the same name but the chromecast is on the 2.4 ghz radio while the iphone is on 5.0 ghz and it still works so it isn't a different radio issue on the same network. run the fling app and scan your network. does it see your phone and the chromecast on the same network?

I have been using the app (or trying to) for watching playoff hockey games on a 2nd screen. Unfortunately, the app and Chromecast aren't best of friends yet.
it is NOT my internet connection, as I can go to the NBC SPORTS app and cast all night long without incident (same on ESPN and every other app) - but with Xfinity stream, 50% of the time, I get the stream going on my phone/device, and when I start casting, everything fails - occasionally I will get it to work and randomly 10/30/60 minutes in, it drops out (error message)
Need to beef up the compatibility as this ONLY happens with the Xfinity Stream app, every other app be it sports or Netflix/disney+ casts perfectly on my wi-fi

I have the exact same issue. I can cast all other apps, just not the xfinity stream app. I get the xfinity logo, and then it times out, and says network error. Have they admitted an issue, yet? It is not a network error!!

I’m missing the casting icon from one of my iPads. Any fix for this?

This feature was just working for me yesterday, but today when I tried to use the feature to watch the NBA playoff game, it keeps saying that my chromecast device can't be found. I've double checked the connection multiple times, and the TV is barely two months old so I'm sure it isn't a TV issue.
