xfinity [Edited] 2 $300 gift cards
I hope someone can help me, since it seems nobody cares, not even the manager of my local xfinity store. Back in October 21, my wife and I switched over to xfinity mobile. The rep told us that we can get a $300 visa gift card with a purchase of a new iphone. So 2 new iphone 13s = 2 $300 gift cards, but that day was the last day for the promotion. My wife and I picked out 2 new iphone 13s. They didn't have them in stock, so the rep ordered them online for us while we were in the store. We paid the required costs and then left the store waiting for the new phones and gift cards to arrive. On the way home, I received an email saying I needed to verify my identity, or the order will be canceled. I verified it several times, but the order was eventually canceled. I placed another order, verified again, and the order was canceled again. This happened 3 or 4 times. I called customer support, just about every day, hours at a time, but they didn't know why my orders were being canceled. One rep did tell me that my address on file has to match my driver's license. Nobody told me that before. I recently moved, so the addresses didn't match. After hours of searching and driving, I found a AAA spot that renews licenses. I paid the necessary fees, and I took my new license back to my local xfinity store and ordered 2 new iphone 13s, but this time, the promo was for $300 off your bill, not the $300 gift card, per phone purchased. Upon driving home, I was asked to verify my identity again, and yet again I did so and yet again my order was canceled. I went back to the store again, a day or two after, while the promo was still running, and asked a rep if I can just buy 2 new iphone 13s right here right now, since I can't buy it online. I was extremely annoyed and fed up at this point. He checked in the back for any in stock. He came out and said he only had 2 left. They weren't the color or size I wanted, but I knew, if I didn't buy them on the spot, then I was going to miss out on the promotion. The rep even had trouble verifying my identity, but eventually, after about 2 hours of being at the store, I walked out with 2 new iphone 13s. While the rep was ringing me out, I asked about the 2 $300 gift card promotion, and he said I should get it since I bought the phones within the time frame. A week later, I called to check the status of my 2 $300 gift cards. The rep said I had to wait 90 days. When the 90 days were almost up, I started calling asking the status. I must have called at least 10 times and received many different answers. Most reps didn't know what I was talking about, and some did say I don't qualify, and some did promise me I would receive it within 4 business days. I never received the gift cards. The manager of the store called me after I bought the 2 new phones. I was waiting for the gift cards before I called her back. When I called her, I told her I was lied to and scammed out of 2 $300 gift cards. She told me she would look into it and make sure I get the 2 $300 gift cards. Several days go by, as we are emailing each other and leaving voice mails. Yesterday I received an email stating my $50 gift card is on its way. I emailed the manager, Tera Boyce, and asked her why only $50 and not 2 $300 gift cards. She said the promo for the 2 $300 cards expired on 10/21 and I bought the phones on 10/29. On 10/29, the promo was for $300 off my bill per phone purchased which equals $600 off. I asked if that's what I'm going to get. She said no. She said I needed to port my numbers over and purchase the phones at the same time. That's exactly what I did, but they didn't have the phones in stock, so they ordered them online, but then my orders kept getting canceled and nobody knew why. I didn't know there was going to be so many problems ordering a phone. Nobody told me I wasn't going to get the 2 $300 gift cards or the credit when I bought the phones. If they told me, then I would not have purchased them. I asked her who do I call to cancel my service. She told me. I also told Tera Boyce, it's a real shame I wasn't told about the promotions when purchasing the phones. I would've never bought them. The staff didn't lie to me, they just withheld information from me. Well at least they got a sale out of it. She never responded to that email. How does a company treat people like this? This company has left such a bad taste in my mouth. Is there anything you can do? Don't tell me you're going to do something and not do anything, I'm tired of hearing that. I cannot find a number for corporate, do you have it?

I can’t find the community forum page you’re talking about. The manager at my local store already said there’s nothing that can be done. I need to get in touch with corporate. Maybe they care about how I was treated.

Hi: I’m dealing with a similar situation. I bought a new iPhone 13 plus in early December because they had a sweet promo of not only $200 of my bills but ALSO a $450 visa gift card that I would receive in about 3 months after I turned my old phone in. I too had to wait on the phone I ordered. I got my phone and at some point my daughter conned me into buying her a new iPhone which was eligible for the same deal. We got everything done before the deadline for the deal and the kid that was working wrote down the offer numbers for the 2 gift cards, told me to keep them and it would be about 90 days before receiving them.
So March comes around and I still haven’t received anything. I called xfinity and they said not to worry, I’d get them no later than April 16th. May comes around and I’m wondering where my cards are because I’m on a fixed income and really couldn’t afford to buy brand new phones but did because the deal was too good to pass up🙄 I call xfinity once again and was told they were in the mail but everything was going slow etc and I’d receive them soon. Life happened and I didn’t think about the cards again until today, so I called again. I got a very nice person that was hard to understand because of his accent but tried explaining everything to them. After sitting on the phone an hour, they come back and say I’m not eligible for the promotion (the one I was told was “in the mail” multiple times) because they separated the deals and they shouldn’t have and that it was disinformation? I’m so confused and angry about this. I would’ve NEVER bought new iPhone 13s and just upgraded my 7+ to something a little newer had I not been promised this amazing deal. I think my only recourse at this point is to hire an attorney and sue. I was lied to many years ago by Verizon on the same type of thing where I got 5 phones for everyone in the family and as soon as we called to claim that promotion, they said it was expired and I lost out on $1000, so I am not willing to just let this go this time. I’m not in a position to be able to afford to just let it go. I’m sure with a little digging that a good attorney could turn this into a class action and xfinity would learn their damned lesson about lying to it’s customers. I’m done being taken advantage of, I’m a disabled senior citizen and what they are doing is despicable 🤬

I was also promised $$, in the form of $50 per phone brought over to Xfininty, and despite multiple calls every few months (it's been 15 months since moving cell phone to Xfinity) to the number one finds for the prepaid card promotions, nothing ever arrives. there is no method to put the complaint in writing, and it does seem to be a scam to attract new accounts. If there is anyone I can communicate with over email for a written paper trail to obtain the funds overdue, I would appreciate it.

Yes it's a scam. Xfinity mobile promised me 2 $200 gift cards for switching 2 lines over. They conned me into two knew phones that everyone else sells for $200.00 cheaper. Then they take their high price and claim they give you a "discount", The you receive the "discount" monthly so you are locked in with Xfinity until the device is paid off. They have since reneged on the promo saying I was never eligible in the first place. Now I have to pay off the devices before i can escape these liars. They refuse to talk about it on the phone (after hours on hold) refuse to allow me to talk to supervisors, and just generally shut me out. Their phone center people and chat people read from scripts and are rude about half the time. Request for management call backs never mean anything to them either. Xfinity mobile stinks.
Xfinity are the KINGS of bait and switch.
