iPhone (paired with Apple Watch) calls go directly to Voicemail

My calls consistently go to voicemail. I fix the problem and it starts up again. I know of others with the service who have this same problem. I am tired of it. The larger issue is that Xfinity says they are not sure what the problem is. That they have not heard of this and that it is not their issue but the Apple product. Funny because I noticed that these posts where someone mentions this have over 5000 views which is much larger than most other posts. So this is a thing. Can someone from Xfinity tell me about this problem, how it is being identified and what they plan to do about it? 

Note: at my previous cellular company, the watch had its own phone number. When I moved to Xfinity it shares the same number which is strange. I used to pay $10 per month for this. I would gladly pay it again to give it its own number.
