Can I use Xfinity Mobile when I travel internationally? (Answered)

If you are traveling the world, you can take Xfinity Mobile with you. International roaming is supported for phones in over 215 destinations, where you can talk, text message, and use data — just like at home.

If you are already abroad and your phone shows “No Service”, you can manually pick a service provider. Go to
If you have roaming issues during international travel section below for more details.

If you need more help, call us for free at 1-720-728-5462.

International rates

Xfinity Mobile customers have international roaming calls and texts included with all plans at no added cost. There are three ways you can pay for data when you travel abroad.

Reminder — Xfinity Mobile does not charge for WiFi data you use while abroad. Using WiFi data from other service providers may save you money.

Global Travel Pass

Add Global Travel Pass to any phone line and pay a flat rate for data at $10 per day per line in over 215 covered destinations. Global Travel Pass includes 5 GB of high-speed data per pass per day, then data is available at 3G speeds.

Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass

Add Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass to any phone line and pay a flat rate for data at $5 per month per line to be used in those countries. The Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass includes 5GB of high-speed data and unlimited calls to and from those countries per pass per month.

Notes:

  • Xfinity Mobile customers on our latest data plan with unlimited data (either Premium Unlimited or Unlimited) have:
    • Unlimited calls and texts to and from the United States, Mexico, and Canada included.
    • Unlimited data when traveling in Mexico or Canada included.

For more details, go to Xfinity Mobile benefits for Mexico and Canada.

Pay as you go

You can always pay as you go for each megabyte (MB) of data used while abroad. The rate is $0.30 per MB of data. This is your default international data option unless you add Global Travel Pass. Even if you have added Global Travel Pass, you pay as you go in countries not covered by Global Travel Pass.

Before you travel internationally

Before you travel to another country, follow these three simple steps to make sure your device is ready.

  1. Turn on international data roaming.
    • You can check if international data roaming is already enabled on your Xfinity Mobile lines in International travel on the Activity tab using your Xfinity Mobile account online.
    • Notes:
      • When you first activate your service, you can only make calls to the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
      • If your line is eligible, adding Global Travel Pass will automatically enable international data roaming. To enable without adding Global Travel Pass or to learn more about your lines eligibility chat with us.
  2. Prepare your device.
  3. Search rates.
    • Search ahead of time for the pay-as-you-go rate for each country you are going to, or if that country is covered by Global Travel Pass.
