Can I use Xfinity Mobile when I travel internationally? (Answered)
If you are traveling the world, you can take Xfinity Mobile with you.
International roaming is supported for phones in over 215 destinations, where you can talk, text message, and use data — just like at home.
If you are already abroad and your phone shows “No Service,” you can manually pick a service provider. Go to the If you have roaming issues during international travel section below for more details.
If you need more help, call us for free at 1-720-728-5462.
International rates
Xfinity Mobile includes international roaming for calls and texts at no extra cost on all mobile plans.
If you have our latest plans:
If you’re on our latest plan with Mobile Plus, Mobile Select, or a Premium Unlimited plan, you don’t need to do anything to use data in over 215 covered destinations. It’s already included in your plan, so you can stay connected while you travel with no extra steps.
If you signed up for Xfinity Mobile after March 22, 2024 and have one of the plans above, or if you have an Unlimited line or updated to the latest pricing plan after that date you also get:
- Calls and texts to Mexico and Canada included, and data in Mexico and Canada included at no extra cost.
See the chart below for more details.
If you’re not on Xfinity’s latest plan:
No worries — you still have options. You can choose how to pay for international data while traveling abroad.
Note: Xfinity Mobile does not charge for data used over WiFi while you’re outside the U.S. Using WiFi from local providers can help you save money on data charges.
Global Travel Pass
Add Global Travel Pass to any By the Gig or Unlimited phone line and pay a flat rate for data at $10 per day per line in over 215 covered destinations. Global Travel Pass includes 5 GB of high-speed data per pass per day, then data is available at 3G speeds.
Notes:
- Global Travel Pass does not cover usage on cruise ships or airplanes.
- See the chart below for more details.
- Visit Global Travel Pass FAQs for answers to common questions.
Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass
Add Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass to any eligible phone line and pay a flat rate for data at $5 per month per line to be used in those countries. The Mexico and Canada Unlimited Pass includes 5 GB of high-speed data and unlimited calls to and from those countries per pass per month, then data is available at 3G speeds.
Notes:
- See the chart below for more details.
- For more details, review Xfinity Mobile benefits for Mexico and Canada.
Pay as you go
You can always pay as you go for each megabyte (MB) of data used while abroad. The rate is $0.30 per MB of data. This is your default international data option, unless you add Global Travel Pass or the Mexico and Canada Unlimited pass, or your plan includes these benefits. Even if you have added Global Travel Pass or the Mexico and Canada Unlimited pass, you will pay as you go in countries not covered by those passes.
Note: We’ll send you a text message when you enter a country where these passes can be used. To minimize unexpected costs, if your pay-as-you-go charges go over $100, we’ll let you know.
